Sunlu SP2 filament dryer

The Sunlu SP2 is a modular 2-in-1 filament dryer that combines effective drying with airtight storage for 3D printing materials. The design consists of a heating base and a storage container, allowing the device to be used flexibly depending on your needs. The containers themselves can be stacked on top of each other to better utilize your workspace. This is a practical solution for those who want to improve filament storage conditions while simplifying daily material handling.

Drying and storage in a single system

The SP2 model is designed so that the drying process does not need to be separated from storage. The efficient heating base removes moisture, while the airtight container helps keep the filament in optimal condition even after drying is complete. The top and bottom silicone lids provide excellent sealing and thermal insulation. In storage mode, the device can maintain an internal humidity level of approximately 25% at an average ambient humidity of about 50%.

Airtight design and humidity control

The device is equipped with a carrying handle and a recess in the bottom, making it easy to move and position comfortably. A built-in hygrometer allows for real-time monitoring of internal humidity, while three cable ports on each side enable better adaptation to various printing configurations. The modular design simplifies workspace organization, and the ability to stack containers helps save space in both small workshops and larger studios.

Large capacity and wide compatibility

The Sunlu SP2 supports spools weighing from 0.25 kg to 3 kg and works with filaments of 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm diameter. The chamber can hold two 1 kg spools, one 2 kg spool, or one 3 kg spool, with a maximum spool size of 250 mm in diameter and 153 mm in width. After attaching the guide roller, it is also possible to use a paper spool, and the spool holder allows for the stable mounting of damaged spools as well.

Adjustable temperature and improved printing performance

The SP2 operates within a temperature range of 35°C to 70°C, making it compatible with most popular filaments, such as PLA, PLA+, PETG, ABS, TPU, PVA, PVB, ASA, and PA/PC. Removing moisture from the material helps minimize printing issues such as stringing, nozzle clogging, and poor layer adhesion. The manufacturer provides recommended drying settings for various materials, making it easy to select the appropriate parameters for each filament type.

Safe and refined operation

The SP2 model utilizes a 200 W PTC heater supported by a fan, an additional overheat protection switch, and intelligent temperature control via software. This triple safety design enhances the reliability of the heating process and allows for greater peace of mind when using the device. The maximum operating power is 250 W, and power consumption in standby mode does not exceed 1 W, making it highly efficient for everyday use.
